Many people have these strange diets and schemes so as to shed weight, but some seem crazier as they are going overboard with obsession and preoccupations on losing pounds. Some are so overly concerned with how they appear to be that they don't know that these thoughts and actions are serious mental conditions. One of those is bulimia. So as to understand what bulimia is, we have to know Marnie.

Marnie is a girl who is 18 years old. She is tall, has a slim frame, and she's gorgeous. She has chums who have the same built and height and who have the same interests "to look gorgeous and to party when they get a chance. Marnie likes to socialize a lot and with these socializations, she loves to eat. She eats whatever she wants to, eats a heap at one standing, because she gives in to what she wants always. However the idea of getting fat with all the stuff that she has eaten, brings her guilt. She does not want to become fat. She would like to stay gorgeous, lean, slim, and enticing. Each after she eats, she goes to the restroom, forces herself to vomit out everything she ate, or to expel them all out by drinking laxatives. Thereafter, she starts eating again. Due to this, Marnie doesn't put on weight and quite maintains her figure.

As the time went by by, Marnie spotted cavities in her teeth and a stinging throat, a lack of energy for any activity and stomach pains. Soon, she observed her weight to be fluctuating, and her feces was black in colour. Marnie one day faints at college and was rushed to the surgery.

Marnie has the disposition of bulimia nervosa. She loves to eat, but she expels everything and does not want to take in the food. Due to the frequent vomiting, cavities and throat ulcers can form. Our stomach contains stomach acid, and with frequent barfing, the acid reaches the food pipe, the throat, and the mouth. A low level of electrolytes,eg potassium, and dehydration can also result, leading to weakness. Potassium is essential for our muscles and water is very important for our cells to to function efficiently. Stomach ulcers can also happen, that might worsen and lead directly to bleeding. Black feces is one sign that there may be bleeding in the stomach. Soon, if the conditions go on, the body surrenders and shuts down , therefore , fainting.

Bulimia is especially common among kids and among girls. Therefore , complete guidance with regards to diet and mental support should be given to this age group when it comes to nutrition and being fit. Those who need to shed the pounds should not go mad with this. Bulimia is too much, and rather than making you healthy, it can kill. So for most satisfactory results, consult a fitness guru and food consultant, because they know the best way on the way to make you lovely, just the way that you desire yourself to be.
